The Festival Theatre brings a vibrant programme of events to life throughout the year, set within some of the most breathtaking historic locations in Kent. For the last 45 years we have had the great pleasure of producing outstanding theatre at Hever Castle the Childhood Home of Anne Boleyn, and our home too!

To mark our 45th birthday, we’ve a celebratory season of performances from May until December with events until October taking place in the Two Sisters’ Theatre, our fully covered open-air venue at Hever Castle. The theatre was beautifully reimagined and rebuilt in 2024 and boasts a full, transparent roof. You can watch the stars on stage and above you, while being protected from the weather. Bespoke events are also taking place at St Peter’s Church Hever village, Chiddingstone Castle, Penshurst Place and new this year, Dragonfly Farm in Speldhurst, extending our season across these atmospheric venues.

From family entertainment to historical talks, music events, plays and comedy; all our venues combine exceptional live performances with stunning surroundings, creating an experience that is welcoming and memorable for all.
