PICNICS
Picnics are a cherished part of our festival events. Guests are welcome to picnic before evening performances (from 6.30pm) and after matinées (until the castle closes at 6pm). For events on The Loggia, Anne Boleyn’s Walk, or at Chiddingstone Castle, picnicking is also permitted during the performance. Please help us stay sustainable by taking all rubbish home with you.
PRE-THEATRE SUPPER
Situated in The Tudor Suite Dining Room, within Hever Castle itself, you are dining with royalty!
We are thrilled to be working with the in-house Hever Castle Catering team, offering our guests delicious menus that make use of the best local and UK produce available. On the following performance nights, pre-theatre supper is available to theatre patrons and in addition to Hever Castle B&B guests. Bookings closes three days before the event, or before then if the dining room is full.

Taking place before this selection of Hever 8pm performances, you can arrive between 5.30 – 5.45pm and we ask for everyone to be seated by 6pm. You will park in the usual theatre car park at Lakeview. The most direct route is via the theatre lawn, straight over the lawn and down the slope to the castle, via the moat bridge. You will be welcomed by a member of the team on the castle drawbridge with a glass of bubbles.

Theatre patrons: You can book supper along with your theatre tickets (if you already have your theatre tickets, please call us to add supper on, 07379 488 477).
Hever Castle B&B guests: If you would like to book supper, please call (07379 488 477) or email us boxoffice@heverfestival.co.uk. We would be delighted to book this for you. There is no discount on supper, but we do offer you a 10% discount on your theatre tickets as Castle overnight guests, so it is worth calling us!
Supper cannot be booked through Hever Castle B&B or reception, only through the theatre.
DISCOUNTS FOR HEVER FESTIVAL FRIENDS
Hever Castle Catering are offering a generous 10% discount on pre-theatre suppers to Festival Friends, and their guests (when tickets are purchased by the Festival Friend). Please note the discount does not apply to any additional beverages purchased at the supper.
If you do not already take advantage of the discounts Hever Festival Theatre Friends Membership offers, it can be purchased at any time and starts from £29. With theatre and catering discounts, a membership quickly pays for itself, and you can share the discounts with your friends too. Please feel free to discuss it with the Box Office team, we can (retrospectively if necessarily) add your membership and do the calculations for you too. You can also feel great about supporting the 45 year old festival!
Hever Castle and Golf Club members do not receive a discount on Pre-Theatre Suppers.
If you have purchased your theatre tickets already and you wish to purchase pre-theatre supper, please call the box office and we will take payment for your dinner and update your tickets 07379 488 477. If you are yet to purchase your theatre tickets then you can add super on to your purchase online, or when you talk to us by phone.
REFRESHMENTS ON THE THEATRE LAWN
Pre- show and interval refreshments will be available on the theatre Lawn for all Two Sisters’ Theatre and Anne Boleyn’s Walk performances. As well as serving hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ice cream and (pre-show only) freshly made savoury and sweet crepes.
Please note; plant based ice cream and hot vegetarian options are available, but no other dietary requirements can be catered for on the lawn.
