Complete Madness Band Member Biographies

The band combines decades of professional musical experience with a passion for ska and Two-Tone music. From high-energy vocals and tight horn lines to infectious rhythms and visual flair, the band brings the essence of Madness to life for audiences across the UK and Europe.

Mark Keegan, Lead Vocals & Founding Member

Mark started playing guitar in his teens, forming punk and new wave bands before stepping up as lead singer. He trained vocally with an operatic teacher to perfect stamina and technique for live performance. Multi-instrumentalist and music lecturer, Matt has a deep understanding of ska and Two-Tone music. His professional experience enhances the band’s musical precision and stage energy. Joining full-time in 2021, Matt blends technical skill with authentic ska flair, adding a dynamic layer to Complete Madness’ sound.

Bob Hutchinson, Saxophone

Bob began on flute before moving to saxophone in his teens. He studied music performance and has performed extensively in the UK ska and pop scene. Bob’s saxophone work recreates the signature horn lines that define the Madness sound, adding authenticity and vibrancy to the band’s live shows.

Colin Drummond, Keyboards, Backing Vocals

Colin’s career spans New Wave, pop, and rock, performing with Liverpool band VHF, The Merseybeats, Bay City Rollers, and Denny Laine. With decades of professional experience, Colin brings sophisticated keyboard textures and a deep sense of musicality to Complete Madness.

The Two Sisters’ Theatre

Located on the tranquil Two Sister’s Lawn, our theatre has one continuous roof, every auditorium seat is undercover and allocated. The roof section over the auditorium is transparent so you will be able to enjoy the stars above, as you watch The Stars on stage! The theatre walls will be open and, for selected events, the lawns either side become part of the auditorium. With lawn tickets you to choose where to sit when you arrive and can enjoy your picnic during the event. You will need to bring your own seats, beanbags or rugs etc for the lawns.

We can close our walls for events outside the summer months. The walls are clear, so you still feel you are in the beautiful garden just with protection from the weather.

You are welcome to stay in the gardens following afternoon performances until the Castle closes for the day.

Gates open at 6.30pm for evening performances and 1 hour before matinees. Please check our access page for further information.

The theatre bar will be open before the event and during the interval (when applicable) for hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and freshly made savoury and sweet crepes.

Pre-Theatre Supers are available before this performance in the Astor Wing Dining Room, inside Hever Castle.

The menu is available to view here.

Please note there are just 50 covers for dinner, we recommend you book early, alongside your theatre tickets to avoid disappointment.
